What is the TISR program?
The TISR program is an initiative by Thammasat's Office of International Affairs to attract international students to its academic programs. It encompasses both undergraduate and graduate studies, providing a structured pathway for foreign applicants to join the university's vibrant academic community.
TISR supports applications to numerous international programs across faculties including:

Academic Calendar
Thammasat operates on a semester system with two major terms each year. Here's a simple breakdown:
First Semester: August – December
This is the main intake for most programs. This semester aligns well with international academic calendars and is ideal for freshmen, transfer students, and exchange students starting their studies.
Second Semester: January – May
The second semester starts in mid-January and ends in late May. This semester is common for exchange students and those entering through mid-year intakes (in some programs).
Scholarships and Financial Support
Thammasat University offers scholarships to outstanding international applicants under the TISR program. These scholarships may include:
- Full Tuition Waiver with Monthly Stipend: Waiver of tuition fees and a monthly stipend of 8,000 Baht.
- Full Tuition Waiver: Waiver of tuition fees.
Eligibility for scholarships is based on academic merit and other criteria specified by individual faculties.
